Title12 Back Bank Street
Description12 Back Bank Street is the central property in a block of three, which were built c.1900. The houses look onto a narrow street, with houses on the other side, and are at right angles to the access road. Behind them is a shared yard with outhouses. The houses are built of brick in Flemish garden wall bond and the roof is of thin slate. In terms of space, comfort and decorative features these houses are well provided for (Caffyn, 1982).
A watching brief was carried out in 1996 prior to the construction of a car park on the site of buildings at Back Bank Street (see PRN 7656), and from looking as the WYAAS GIS (17/09/2008) is would appear that this block of buildings has now been demolished and replaced with a car park.
