Title | 5-6 Swan Bank Lane |
Description | This stone house probably dates to the early 19th century, and has since been spit into two separate dwellings (Giles, 1981). It is of two storeys and is built of coursed rubble masonry, which is quoined at the angles. There are two doorways on the front wall as a result of the later subdivision: the original entry is in the centre, opening into the main room; with the former parlour to the east now forming a separate cottage, which is entered via a doorway at the southeast corner. |
