Title | Kenmore, Ryecroft Cottages |
Description | Kenmore is one of a row of three houses, which form part of a group of housing that developed as a weaving community from the original farmhouse (PRN 8703). Kenmore is built of coursed squared stone and has a stone flagged roof, with coping at the gable. The windows have stone surrounds, flush with the walls, and are two or three light splayed mullions. The windows were originally small sash windows, with one opening light per window. The door has a stone surround. The house is of two storeys with a cellar, which is now bricked up (Caffyn, 1982). The first floor front room was used as a weaving room. |
