TitleSt Bartholomew's Mission Church
DescriptionThis former school was built in 1818 for John Muster, the local Lord of the Manor of Carlton. It was converted into a church in 1926. It is built of coursed dressed gritstone with a stone slate roof, and is two storeys high. It has raised coped gables, with dentillated eaves and two stone ridge stacks. The south front has a projecting gabled porch to the left with a four panel inner door, which is flanked by single large windows with 20th century stained glass. The rear of the church is rendered with a single stained glass window on the ground floor.
