Title | Coach house to the Old Vicarage |
Description | This coach house is probably contemporary with the Old Vicarage (PRN 8664), which is dated 1886. It is built of hammer dressed stone and has a stone slate roof. It is L shaped on plan, with a two storey gabled wing to the right of a central gabled coach entry, which is semicircular arched of two orders with a chamfered surround and a hoodmould. It has a coped gable with kneelers and ball finials, with a small two light chamfered mullioned window set in the apex. To the right, there are two chamfered single lights and a chamfered pitching hole set into the gable of the wing with slit ventilators to the apex. There is a tall ridge stack to the right of the entry. This building is included in the List for group value. (Text edited from English Heritage LBO description). |
