TitleBolton Old Hall Cottage
DescriptionThis is an early to mid 17th century recasing of a timber framed house, and it forms the east wing of Bolton Old Hall (PRN 8512). It is two storeys high and is built of coursed thin cut gritstone. It has a stone slate roof with shaped kneelers to the gable end. There is one single light and a three light chamfered mullion casement window to the first floor. There is a two light mullioned casement window and an early 19th century glazing bar sash adjoining a doorway in plain surrounds on the ground floor. The timber frame and roof structure would appear to carry through from Bolton Old Hall.
