TitleOld Hall House
DescriptionThis house is dated 1681 on the lintel of the door, and was remodelled in the late 18th century or early 19th century. It was then extended in the late 19th century, but the extension is not Listed. The house is built of coursed squared magnesian limestone, and has a stone slate roof. It is H shaped on plan and is two and a half storeys high. It has 1:2:1 symmetrical bays, a plinth, and a set back centre that has a central panelled door with an inserted stone architrave under a moulded hoodmould. Above this is a lintel, presumably relocated, with the raised lettering ‘16:P.C.M:81’.
