TitleHeygate Farmhouse
DescriptionThis farmhouse is dated 1682 and has since been altered and extended. It is built from coursed magnesian limestone rubble, with a tiled roof and brick chimneys. It has a linear three cell lobby entry plan. It is two storeys high, with an added bay on the left. There is a doorway at the junction of the first and second cells of the main range, which has a chamfered surround and a large rectangular lintel. There is a square stone over this that is crudely inscribed ‘(?) 6 I H 82’. There are three side sliding sash windows on each floor, all with glazing bars. The single cell addition at the left end is of two slightly lower storeys, with a small sliding sash at ground floor level, and a larger one at first floor.
