DescriptionDescription from the English Heritage Scheduled Monument notification for SAM no 29117 (04/06/1997);
The monument includes a carved gritstone rock, 2m by 1.6m. It is situated in Shipley, on Northcliffe Golf Course, in Dawson Wood, at the top of a slope leading down to a stream. An accurate National Grid Reference is SE 13642 36608. The carving consists of two cups, one of which has part of a ring. The other markings are possibly natural.
