TitleArthington Pastures
DescriptionCurvilinear bank still visible in plough soil, running roughly east west (centred on SE 278459) and nearly parallel to R. Wharfe. Date and function unknown and if not natural may be part of a flood defence scheme. Broad amorphous cropmarks in area around SE 283458 probably of natural origin and may be related to movement of river whose old course used to run west to east on the south side of Arthington Pastures. Linear cropmark centered on SE 280458 is of uncertain origin and may be related to modern farming practice.
