Title | Cropmarks, east of East Breary Farm, Arthington Road |
Description | Cropmarks of a double ditched feature, possibly a lane or boundary, the west side of which is possibly a pit alignment rather than a continuous ditch. A second similar feature abutts on the west side of the first. The first is cut by, or cuts, a linear ditch and the relationship with another linear ditch is unknown. On the south side of the field are the faint cropmarks of three possible sides of a sub rectangular enclosure. A number of well defined small maculae both in and near the last feature may be pits. If pit alignments do exist here, they are only the second example in W. Yorks, the first being at Ferrybridge (PRNs 994,1294). |
