Title | Chellow Heights |
Description | These finds comprise the remains of at least 3 cinerary urns and part of a food vessesl, found in 1921 during the construction of a reservoir at Chellow Heights on what was part of West Bradford Golf Links. The artefacts were found southeast of a hill known as Spoin Kop. A reconstructed tripartitie urn and fragments of the other two urns were in Cartwright Hall Museum in 1964 but the food vessel was kept by Dr Rowe, the finder, and its whereabouts are unknown. In 1987 the Chellow material was at the Manor House Museum, Ilkley. |
