Description | Medium sized, low, smooth grit rock in grass. Twenty six shallow cups and three possible cups, three linked with grooves, and two linked with grooves. Description of the monument from the English Heritage Scheduled Monument Record for SAM no 25402 (06/10/1995); The monument includes a carved gritstone rock, partly covered in vegetation and level with the ground. The visible part measures 1.1m by 0.5m. It is situated south of Dobrudden caravan site, c.15m down the slope from a drainage ditch. Its grid reference by Global Positioning System is SE 13666 39756. The carving consists of 26 shallow cups and three possible cups, three linked with grooves, and two linked with grooves. |
