Description | Small, lozenge shaped, smooth grit rock, sloping NW SE into grass and bracken, four symmetrical cups in slight curve. Description of the site from the English Heritage Scheduled Monument Record for SAM no 25271 (28/02/1995); The monument includes a rounded carved rock, 0.8m x 0.5m x 0.1m, situated c.30m east of Glovershaw quarry, on the flat land overlooking the confluence of Glovershaw Beck and Lodepit Beck. The carving consists of four cups in a slight curve. |
