Description | Large rock sloping with hill into bracken, crowberry and heather. Two large clear cups. Description from the English Heritage Scheduled Monument notification for SAM no 25297 (13/06/1995); The monument includes a carved gritstone rock, only partly showing above the ground, this part measuring 1.85m x 1.85m x 0.4m. It is located on Woofa Bank, to the west of the enclosure and 2m west of a path which climbs the slope. Its grid reference by Global Positioning System is SE 13811 45470. The carving consists of two large cups. |
