TitleIron Age ditch (cropmark)
DescriptionCropmarks of odd linear features (ditches?) of uncertain date and function; continue reconnaissance.
A geophysical survey carried out in December 2001 by WYAS (PRN 7323) failed to identify any features associated with these cropmarks. It is possible that there may be features present that produce a weak or un measurable magnetic anomoly due to geological conditions.
An evaluation carried out in April 2002 by Archaeological Services WYAS found the ditch to be 3m wide, 1m deep and 23m long, it contained a single sherd of Iron Age Pottery.
