TitleEmley Park
DescriptionEmley Park; Medieval park. Boundaries as delineated on WYAS field record card. Park boundary survives as hedge and footpaths (to 1985) in portion of circuit from SE 234 120 to SE 267 117. Other extant features which may be related to industrial and agricultural activities carried out within the area of the park are an area of ridge and furrow at SE 252 127 and a series of depressions and platforms centred at SE 2423 1270 (PRN 6686) which are tentatively interpreted by S. Moorhouse as adit mines exploiting the coal seam which outcrops at this point, and the related spoil tips.
