TitleMedieval/Post-Medieval Ridge and Furrow
DescriptionGood earthworks of ridge and furrow and bellpits plus other clear earthworks of uncertain nature. The continuing uncertainty about one part of these earthworks means that further evaluation is needed if threatened. There is also the possibility of earlier (prehistoric features) below ground, as there are extensive cropmark remains to the south and east of this site.

The remains of post medieval narrow ridge and furrow and medieval/ post medieval ridge and furrow was identified by English Heritage as part of their Lower Wharfedale Air Photograph Interpretation project (National Mapping Programme) conducted in 2003/4. The remains were seen as earthworks and cropmarks on air photographs. Some areas were noted to be no longer extant on the latest 1990 and 1992 Ordnance Survey vertical photography (Oakey, 2003).
