Description | Earthworks reported to be suggestive of tanning pits adjacent to field labelled 'Tanhouse Garth' on map of 1735. This field contains ridge and furrow as shown by the photographs. APs (verticals?) are said to show a possible track leading from the existing lane northeast of Dunningley Hill Farm towards the earthworks. There is also a hollow way leading to Dunningley Farm. |
