Description | Mesolithic flints found scattered over an area of 100 sq.yds. on hill top partly destroyed by quarrying; finder was R. Jeffries. Flints comprised unretouched flakes and blades, microlithic and blade cores, scrapers, gravers, microliths, microburins and waste material. Finds suggest a small workshop/flint knapping site. Finds were given to Castleford Museum (Library? ). No further information. |
