TitleGreenholme North Bank
DescriptionChipped flint axe, described on O.S. card as remarkably like a tranchet axe. Found in a `pebble well' below normal river level in R.Wharfe at Burley by Mr. P.Garnett of 2, Aireville terrace, Burley, in 1959. Grid ref. cited above is approximate. Assumed not to be the same as the axe marked by the O. S. a short distance to the west in Askwith. Axe was apparently given to Manor House Museum, Ilkley, who were unable to confirm to O.S. in 1964 that they had the implement. No further information.
