DescriptionThis is one of several closely grouped Mesolithic flint sites on Oxenhope Moor. The sites were discovered by Stuart Feather between 1958 and 1960 (see Group Record, PRN 3859). Two of the sites (PRNs 3860 and 3863) produced large amounts of material, the remainder, such as PRN 3864, produced scatters of microliths, chips and flakes made during the same period; thus, they too probably represent `workshops' or flint knapping sites, but on a smaller scale than PRNs 3860 and 3863. O.S. reported in 1960 that finds were retained and classified by Mr. Feather.
