Description | Mesolithic flint site; one of several on this part of Oxenhope Moor (see Group Record, PRN 3859). Sites were discovered by S.Feather between 1958 and 1960 and comprised concentrations of microliths and abundant waste material. This site and PRN 3863 probably consitute `workshop' floors or flint knapping sites. O.S. reported in 1960 that flints were retained and classified by Mr. Feather. |
