| Description | Possible line of Roman Road. Partially coincident with green lane on township boundary. Appears to be repected by cropmarks suggestive of Romano British settlement/agricultural activity (PRN 612.) Excavation of a section to the west of Field Head Farm revealed features which were interpreted as a road 6 m. wide with a south ditch ca. 1m wide and 0.35 m. deep. Further evaluation required in advance of development. |
