TitleHall Park
DescriptionHall Park. Coincident with detached portion of Thorp Arch township within Walton in Ainsty. Apparently encompassed by park pale (bank), a substantial proportion of which is still extant; S. Moorhouse (WYAS 1981) suggests that this is the original extent of the medieval park. Moated site PRN 2294, just within the north boundary of the park, may be the remains of the park lodge, although Moorhouse has marked a 'lodge' in the south east part of the park on one of his drawings (is this the present Hall Parks Farm?). Corridor of park pale designated Class 3; remiander of park Class 4. Any development threat shoud result in site appraisal by SMR in first instance to determine need for futher evaluation or other work.
