Description | Mesolithic flints found by J.Turner, scattered on top of ridge east of Black Hameldon. Flints comprised 2 microlithic cores, 20 unretouched flakes and blades and 1 graver spall. Finds may represent small workshop/settlement of Mesolithic period. Present location of finds unknown; they are part of J. Turner Collection. The grid ref. is slightly uncertain. |
