TitleRed House Farm
DescriptionEarthworks and boggy area to the north of Red House Farm, Dunkeswick, reported ca. 1987. Probably the remains of Providence Tanyard, marked at this point on the OS 1st edn. 6 map. The two ponds presently on the site may also date from this phase of use. Requires further site visit and quick earthwork survey to determine whether or not all the earthworks on the site can be thus explained. The main structure marked on the OS 1st edn. map would appear to have been replaced by the present farm buildings, but there may be the remains of ancillary features preserved in the field to the N. Further evaluation required in advance of development?
