AdminHistoryBirchencliffe was a hamlet in the township of Lindley-cum-Quarmby. The church was by order in council assigned a consolidated chapelry on 12 Dec 1877. It became a new parish, and the minister a vicar, in May 1878 when the incumbents of Lindley, Longwood and Elland surrendered their rights to fees.
